Creative Whispers of the Unseen Mind.

"No matter how high the stakes, sooner or later you're just gonna have to go with your gut. And maybe, just maybe, that'll take you right where you were supposed to be."

- Meredith Grey in Grey's Anatomy

The quirky urge. A funny tingle. That little voice in your head. These are your gut feelings talking. But what are they telling you, and should you listen? Most of us have experienced the sense of knowing things before we know them, even if we can’t explain how. You hesitate at a green light and miss getting hit by a speeding truck. You decide on a whim to break your no-blind-dates policy and wind up meeting your life partner. You have a hunch that you should invest in a little online start-up and it becomes Google.
If only you could tap into those insights more often, right? Especially if you learn to identify which signals to focus on — whether they’re sweaty palms, a funny feeling in your stomach, or a sudden and inexplicable certainty that something is up.
Buried deep within each and every one of us, there is an instinctive, heartfelt awareness that provides—if we allow it to—the most reliable guide as to whether or not our actions are really in the long-term interests of our planet and all the life it supports. We just need to listen more to the common sense emanating from our hearts. You have at your disposal a powerful tool that can make your dreams happen, whether you yearn to live in a beautiful home in the country, or land a job you'll love, or [insert your heart's desire here]. That tool is your intuition. But your sixth sense won't do you any good if you don't use it. You make logical decisions every day — when to get up, what to eat, how to get your work done. But how often do you act on a gut feeling, one of those deep-in-the-pit-of-your-stomach sensations that just seems right even though everything else is telling you it's wrong? Paying attention to those feelings — and acting on them — is neither flaky nor foolish; it's actually an extremely effective way to harness your innate wisdom and lead yourself towards what you want in life. You're intuition may not always steer you right but it will definitely land you where you ought to be. Therefore, for once, give your grey cells some leisurely time and give an ear to the creative whispers of the unseen mind.
